Tart Tatin
Tart Tatin is a classic French upside-down pastry in which the fruit (traditionally apples) are caramelized in butter and sugar before the tart is baked.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a 9-inch skillet over medium heat, melt butter and then add sugar, stirring until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is bubbly. This will take about 3 minutes.

Arrange apple slices in a circular pattern on top of the butter and sugar mixture. Continue to cook without stirring for about 10 minutes until apples are caramelized.

Remove from heat and quickly cover apples with the pastry dough, tucking in the edges at the sides of the skillet.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for few minutes. Carefully invert the tart onto a plate.

Serve warm or at room temperature.
