Tandoori Chicken is a popular Indian dish that consists of roasted chicken prepared with yogurt and spices. The name comes from the cylindrical clay oven, a tandoor, in which the dish is traditionally prepared.

Clean the chicken and make incisions so the marinade can penetrate.

Mix yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, and tandoori masala, salt, and red chili powder in a bowl.

Coat the chicken evenly with the marinade mixture. Let it marinade in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Place the chicken on a grill rack or a baking tray and cook for about 30 minutes, then flip the chicken and cook for another 15 minutes.

Increase the oven temperature to broil, and broil the chicken for 5-10 minutes to get a charred effect.
