How to Make Soya Pulao

Rinse the basmati rice until water runs clear and soak for 30 minutes.

Boil water in a pot and soak the soya chunks for 10 minutes. Squeeze out the excess water and set aside.

Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaves, cinnamon stick, and cumin seeds. Let them sizzle.

Add sliced onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.

Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for another 2 minutes.

Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook until tomatoes are soft.

Add soya chunks and cook for 5 minutes.

Drain the rice and add to the pan. Stir well to mix with the spices and soya chunks.

Pour water, add salt to taste, and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
