Marinate chicken pieces in yogurt, lemon juice, turmeric, garam masala and chili powder for at least 1 hour.

Heat butter in a pan and sauté onions and ginger garlic paste until golden brown.

Add tomato puree, chili powder, and salt and simmer for 20 minutes until thickened.

Add marinated chicken and cook until chicken is tender.
